About Sandy Powers
THANK YOU for your interest in my photography! I began my photography adventure by sharing an art gallery with four artists in different genres of art. In the gallery, I displayed and sold travel photos, nature photos, exhibition portrait series, wildlife, and many other miscellaneous pieces that I had photographed competitively over the years.
I have been shooting portraits professionally since 2010. For many years, I photographed weddings and every type of portrait session: high school seniors, newborns, sports photography, families, engagements, and some fun commissioned projects to make my clients' specific photographic dreams a reality. Now, I am limiting my work almost entirely to studio photography where the focus is on beautiful lighting, expressions, simple backgrounds and the artistry of a single subject. In certain circumstances, I will still do an on location session, so feel free to talk to me about your vision, and we'll see if it works.
I live in San Antonio, Texas with my husband, Bill, who often graciously assists me in my sessions (he is AMAZING with kids!) I have two grown families who live fairly close by, so life is good, and I thank God daily for the gifts in my life.
