At my favorite park, each spring, hundreds, maybe thousands, of big white female egrets would congregate in several trees that hung over the San Antonio River. They built their nests, sometimes within inches of each other. I watched them for hours at times, gracefully taking off and landing and gathering their nest-building material from the water. I believe this gallery has more award winning photos than any of my other collections of photos. I have also sold more images, small, medium, or 2 feet x 3 feet and up from this gallery than from all my other work. The city has since done their best to drive the birds off, so my mission is to find another location where I can find them.
